69 Floors, 138 flights 1311 stairs — as fast as you can go to the top of Seattle’s tallest building, the Columbia Tower.
That is what 14 members of the Lake Washington Rowing Club Big Climb Team will be doing at 08:30 on Sunday, March 22. Some of us are club members some family and friends.
Apart from the cross training, we are doing it to raise funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to fund research and support patients.
We all have our reasons for doing it.
Tyler Peterson lost his uncle to blood cancer.
I am in my third year of remission from Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma.
Dorothy Kim’s sister is in her second year of remission Hodgkins Lymphoma.
Most of us know someone who has faced a blood cancer.
When I was growing up nobody survived blood cancers. Thanks to the work of researchers, funding from organizations like The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and generous donations from folks like you, many are now cured or enjoying extended remissions, thousands are not so lucky.
That is why we ask you to sponsor us.
