2008 Big Climb for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

Published by Club Captain at 8:59 pm under news

We did it! Tenth for ten! All ten of us made it to the top of the Columbia Tower and we came in 10th overall in the team challenge. Tyler Peterson bolted up the stairs in 9:03:60, followed by his brother in law David Peabody and LWRC manager, Conor Bullis. Top fundraisers John Alberti and KC Dietz, finished respectably in their age category. Tina Cha, Amanda and Howard Lee also had a strong climb. Jody Wilhelm was our ground support crew.

Thanks to all who contributed thus far. We’ve raised $3825 to date, but you can still contribute to the cause until April 4th. Go to the team site where you can make an online donation using your credit card. 75% of the funds will go directly to research for curing Leukemia and Lymphoma.

We are up to $3750, now (11:23 AM, 3/18) plus $600 that Tyler has raised on a separate web page that he is trying to get linked to our site. (not sure how that happened) — so that is $4350, all up — and counting.

We have had wonderful support from the club. Thanks to everyone who has donated. If you haven’t, yet, there is still time!

Add to that the $1920 that Jody Wilhelm raised in the Scott Fire Fighters’ Climb
