New Fireplace Graces the Board Room! After your next workout, come on up and take the chill out of those tired bones and aching muscles while basking in the warmth and glow of the handsome fireplace now gracing the conference/board room. Donated by Martha’s Moms, the electric (looks like gas) fireplace in burnished walnut, adds a touch of ambience to what will hopefully become a popular gathering spot for meetings, fun, fellowship, and video review. Will some comfy leather furniture soon follow? Stay tuned.
Coxing Workshop Saturday, 9/29 at LWRC. Melissa Hayes will lead the first 12 people who are interested in improving their knowledge of that all important role in the crew. Please rsvp to coxswain01@gmail.com by Wednesday, 9/26, with your interest.
Wood Chips: A load of wood chips is waiting to be spread. Jim Roe will start tackling this job after Head of the Troll this weekend. If others care to help, feel free to join.
Coaching Note Bill is back from vacation and will resume regularly scheduled coaching Wednesday 5:30am/Saturday 6:30 AM! Hope to see you there!
Tables for Sale The round wood tables we have for events and member functions have been replaced with light yet sturdy plastic tables. If you are interested in having an old table for your home or work, each one is selling for $25.00. Let Jen know if you are interested. We need to get them out soon so that the new tables can be moved in and out of the manager’s office!
Club Boat Care As a general rule, when carrying and/or placing Club boats on the racks, especially those with fragile decking in the stern and bow (Phoenix, Reiflin, Keller..) be sure to carry on your shoulder at the gunnels or at the ends of the boat, with your hands, where the decking meets the hull. Avoid pushing your sharp shoulders into the decking! For those boats whose gunnels crack easily (Lazarus, Puck, Ariel..), place on the racks near a rib! Thanks.
