Tail of the Lake Race Results Preliminary results are here. Congratulations to Susan Kinne who won her 1x event, Alex Parkman and Roberta Scholz who won their mixed 2x event and Maria McCoy who raced her first rowing race!! Nice job!
LWRC New and Improve Website is UP! We’ve been talking about this for years and thanks to the stick to it attitude of member Sally Thompson, our new website is a reality!! A huge thank you to her as well as the background work handled by Marketing Committee members Elizabeth Burke, JoAnn Epping-Jordan, Susan Andrade, Kelly Lockhart, and Andrea Fortney. While there are some minor tweaks that need to happen, the site is functional and beautiful! Check it out: www.lakewashingtonrowing.com
Sound Rower/Sausage Pull Results It was a blustery and wacky day on Lake Washington but brave LWRC members hit the water and sped around Mercer Island, 14.1 miles or dashed to Seward Park and back, 6.5 miles. Go to Sound Rowers web site for photos of the wild day!
Jen is gone and the office is closed 10/2-10/10. I will be checking emails and forwarding critical and time sensitive email to the wonderful people who help keep things rolling while I am out of town. Anything not critical or not time-sensitive, will be responded to as soon as possible. Thank you in advance for your patience.

Special Head of the Lake Eve dinner Event! In June 2006, former club members Jordan Hanssen and Greg Spooner, along with two other college buddies, set their sights on racing across the Atlantic Ocean as the crew OAR Northwest. Jordan Hanssen just released his new book, “Rowing into the Son: Four Young Men Crossing the North Atlantic,” and will be at LWRC Saturday, 11/3, to do a reading, answer questions, and sign books. For those who have been around for a while, this night will be akin to the delicious pre-HOTL lasagna dinners of yesteryear, but with the added feature of learning about Jordan and crew’s adventure. The evening will have food and beverages and be open to all participating crews. Stay tuned for more details and how you can help! We’re delighted to support Jordan and his new book just a few weeks before he shoves off from the shores of Senegal and heads to Miami!
