Junior Fall Program

LWRC offers juniors a unique rowing experience, with emphasis on skill development, technique and strength training. Juniors will row in small boats: singles, doubles, triples and quads. They will be encouraged to develop confidence through teamwork and leadership, as well as individual goals. The team will also be participating in regional regattas this Fall. Racing is strongly encouraged but not required. Our goal is to have each member race once in a season, in order to develop a competitive Junior Sculling program. We will be on a 4 day training schedule. Occasional Saturdays may be available for additional training.

The Junior program accepts students in grades 7 through 12. The program is open to those who have completed a season at LWRC, completed a level two camp session from our summer programs, or have previous experience rowing. Students must commit to attending 4 days a week. Practices can only be missed if you give the office or coaches at least 24 hour notice.

Regatta entry, transportation and additional fees are NOT included in this price as they will vary depending on an athletes’ race participation. Participants must register to be a Student Member before signing up for the program.

If you have any questions regarding the Fall program, please contact Andy Rees. We look forward to working with you this Fall!
