During the Winter Quarter from December 1st – February 28th, we offer two scull/sweep evening programs, morning private lessons, and an evening group strength training. Take a look at the Winter 2017-18 Schedule and the descriptions of our offerings below. No classes December 21st – January 3rd.

All Winter pricing options expire February 28th and DO NOT carry over into Spring.
Winter Coaching Packages: Dec 1 – Feb 28
Winter Unlimited Pass – $200: allows you to attend an unlimited number of classes in two programs.
Winter Pass – Mixed Masters Only $150: allows you to only attend the Mixed Masters program.
Winter Pass – Evening League Only $150: allows you to only attend the Evening League program.
Winter Pass – Evening Group Training Only $150: allows you to only attend the Evening Group Training program.
Winter Pass – Saturday Mixed Masters Only $75: allows you to only attend Saturday sessions with the Mixed Masters program.
Rowing Programs: winter conditioning on land and water
Mixed Masters: All Levels
This program is designed for individuals who have completed Learn to Row, are getting back into rowing after a hiatus, and/or wanting to race with a group of like-minded individuals. Emphasis will be on skill development, technique, teamwork, and endurance. Monday and Wednesday practices will be indoors with a mix of erging and circuit training. Saturday practices (weather permitting) will be on the water focusing on the week’s emphasis. Water practices will be a mix of sculling and sweep rowing.
Pre-requisite: Learn to Row or previous rowing experience. Individuals must be willing to sweep and scull on a regular basis.
Drop-in classes available! Members can drop into Monday and Wednesday classes if spaces are available the day of the class. The office will track drop-in attendance and charge the number of classes attended to each member’s account at the end of each month. Drop-in class fee is $10.00.

Evening League: Intermediate to Advanced
A training team for intermediate and advanced rowers. It is an inclusive group of varied levels committed to supporting each person to become a better rower. This group spends equal time between sculling and sweep to develop skills for more racing opportunities. Emphasis is on technique and developing stamina for racing. Enjoying the process of working together is highly valued in this group.

Private Lessons with Theresa Batty
Are you not a member but would like to try out rowing and take a private lesson with one of our experienced coaches, Theresa Batty? If you are a member and would like more one-on-one attention with a coach, this is a great option for you too. Theresa is a great technical coach and will help you build your skills whether you are a brand new rower or an experienced rower. Take a lesson with just you or with another person.

Morning Strength Training
Morning strength training with personal trainer Rob Foreman. Build your overall endurance!

Evening Group Training: All Levels
This is a great class for individuals wanting to add to their rowing repertoire. The class consists of circuit-type training with a variety of strength, core, and aerobic conditioning. You will use a variety of equipment, such as TRX, ergs, dumb bells, Kettle bells, bands, medicine balls, and fitness balls. You will learn the proper use of each piece of equipment before jumping into an exercise. Proper form will be emphasized to reduce the risk for injury and maximize the benefits.
